In December 2022, the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) awarded DBD the IASD Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Grant in support of our upcoming project entitled Trauma and the BIPOC Dream Culture which will be initiated in 2023.
We are on a journey to elevate the voices of BIPOC Dreamworkers! Dreamwork is not a new practice. What is new is centering the experiences of BIPOC communities and dreamworkers in a global forum that has been historically focused on Euro-Western approaches and practitioners. This year, IASD is hosting their 40th annual conference in Ashland, Oregon this June.
Our campaign goal is to raise much needed funds to support the participation of BIPOC dreamworkers and/or independent researchers to attend the conference in person and to create resources for Dreamers in marginalized communities.
